At the Lake Como Museum, every visit becomes an authentic journey of discovery into the beating heart of the Larian territory.

Designed for students of all ages, the museum offers a multisensory and immersive experience that intertwines history, geography, literature, art and technology, creating a journey rich in stimuli and surprises, transforming the visit into a valuable opportunity to integrate and enrich the knowledge acquired at school.

The past and the future come together to create something unique thanks to new interactive technologies and engaging environments, where children and young people are invited to explore the cultural heritage of Lake Como in an active and participatory way.

Our team of expert and passionate guides will enthusiastically accompany you on this journey of discovery. They will be at your complete disposal to answer questions and explore topics in greater depth to stimulate curiosity, creating a welcoming and exciting atmosphere that facilitates the cultural and personal growth of every young visitor.

In each room, in addition to describing the exhibits, we will also reveal what goes on behind the scenes at the museum: how the experience was created, what technologies we used, how they work and how they are integrated into the exhibition. We will also explore the process of designing, organising and managing a museum.

Visiting arrangements

Each tour is limited to a maximum of 10 participants at a time, to ensure an immersive, engaging and well-managed experience.

In the case of larger groups, visits will be staggered at regular intervals of approximately 15 minutes, allowing everyone to enjoy the experience without crowding and in complete tranquillity.

At the end of the course, there will be a final group session, in which the entire group will come together to share their impressions and reflections and bring the experience to a close.

We have devised three different courses to best engag students of different ages.

Primary Schools

Lake Explorers

Guided tour of the Lake Como Museum.
Back at school, pupils will be invited to create a drawing inspired by their experience. Teachers will be asked to collect all the drawings and send them by email to the museum. Some drawings will then be published on our social media pages to share the enthusiasm and creativity of the little explorers of the lake with everyone.

Middle schools

My story of the Lake

Guided tour at Lake Como Museum.
Back at school, students will be asked to write a short personal reflection on what promoting the local area means to them, choosing an image. Teachers will collect the essays and send them by email to the museum, which will select a number of projects to publish on our social media channels, thereby promoting young people's vision of recounting and preserving the local area.

Secondary Schools

Guided tour of the Lake Como Museum.
Back at school, students will try their hand at becoming little artists by designing their ideal museum, drawing inspiration from their experience. They can decide on the theme, the exhibition layout and the technologies they intend to use. It can be done in the form of a presentation, report or visual concept. Teachers will collect the work and send it by email to the museum. The most original projects will be published on our social media channels to share the creativity and ability of young people to imagine new ways of telling the story of history and culture.
